Warm House, Good Friends

Yesterday my friends thoroughly surprised me with a House-warming. I had already showed the house to the ladies in my share group when more ladies showed up. My first comment was "Well, isn't this a popular place today!" It took a bit to sink in that it was not a random coincidence. I've been talking openly about my plans to host an Open House when we're finished so I just never dreamed anyone would plan a House-warming. Besides the fact that we're not finished yet.
My friends brought some yummy party food (my favorite was the chocolate covered strawberries) and gifts. A number of them went together to purchase this quilt & shams for the Master Bedroom.

My friends & in laws must know me well because they brought gifts that suit my taste so well. What a fun party! My sister-in-law picked out the perfect card; it says "You've dreamed about it, and saved for it, stressed about it and waited for it. Now all that's left to do is enjoy it."

With a number of preschoolers here, I found out just how non-childproof our house is. Funny how we forget those things when we pass that stage.
