I'm quite pleased with the Country Love quilt. It was my first experience making the binding for a quilt and sewing it on; I think it turned out pretty well for being a scalloped edge. I'm glad to know how to do that because the older generation won't be around forever to do it for us. Maybe someday I will even learn to like quilting. LOL
I do not have a green thumb so when some poor, hapless plant thrives I tend to be surprised. I had this amaryllis bulb that was totally neglected all winter -no water or warmth, little light. When I went to move my houseplants upstairs recently I was shocked to find it growing a healthy, hefty leaf. It has now burst into bloom -4 giant flowers. I have been told the treatment I gave it was not neglect but precisely what it needed. Once before when I tried to over-winter an amaryllis it died. The other pitiful amaryllis I was intending to pitch is now growing as well. Will wonders never
cease?!
I also have an over abundance of spider plants if anyone would like to have one. I got the mother of all spider plants from my grandma, so I have kept that one thriving for over 15 years.

I'll take a spider plant. Mine died.
Sounds like the amaryllis is what you need. :) Did you get my email? You have me terribly curious...
