Ever since we moved into the new kitchen, people have been saying "I bet you are really enjoying all this space!" Feeling like a hypocrite, I would nod and assure them we were, but truth be told, it didn't feel to me like we could really settle in and enjoy. The living room is the hub of our house plus the lack of cozy seats was rather inconvenient (not to mention the untidy piles of boxes lurking in other places). So, now we can sigh with relief and from the bottom of our hearts say "Yes, we are enjoying all this space."

It looks large and empty. The soft carpet feels heavenly. I could find pleasure in walking circles just to feel it.

This portion used to be kitchen.
The next question we face over & over will be "Are you finished yet?" I am still pondering- at what point do you say yes? We are finished with the building process, yes, but there is an extensive list of little things that need wrapped up before we would consider ourselves done and the "nest" would feel "feathered". Alas, I think I shall simply say "yes" to give people the closure they seem to be seeking.
Hope you had a meaningful Easter. We enjoyed coffee & homemade doughnuts (made by the expert) and an early service at church, then time with family the rest of the day. I've been impressed with the thought this season- 'what about the Saturdays?' We hear a lot about Friday & Sunday in the Easter story, but what about that waiting time on Saturday? Even when we know in our head that things will get better, waiting it out is confusing and difficult. Here's to HOPE!

Congratulations! It looks wonderful. Temporary inconvenience, permanent improvement.
