Thank God for Snow Days!

We got sleet Tuesday night and lots of snow Wednesday. Pictures just don't do justice to the beauty of snow, in my opinion. This is the beautiful view from the windowseat in the Master Bedroom, overlooking our drive and front yard. Everything is weighted down with snow, including telephone lines sagging low enough to be touched!

Love the look of icicles surrounding our house.

Of course, school was cancelled yesterday -to the children delight. First cancellation of the school year. And fortunately for us, Richard didn't absolutely have to haul a load yesterday so he got to stay home, too! (That's a rare occurrence so we relish them.) The unexpected work day allowed us to cross a number of jobs off our To-Do list. Our old bedroom is virtually empty and ready for remodeling -beginning Monday... the shower handle is now in the correct position in relation to the hot /cold symbols (see previous post)... we have curtains hanging in the Laundry, etc. (And the van's heater once again works on other settings beside full blast.) Thank God for snow days!

Another snow day!! I hope Richard does not have to be out in it today, it's bad out there. Your to do list should be about wiped out by now! :) Can't wait to come see it again!

Rosita, glad you can enjoy the snow via OH blogs, but I think I'd "give my eye teeth" to live where you are over winter.
Carolyn, Richard is on the road but he left last night to beat the storm. It was sunny in NY when he called last. Being the fine gentleman that he is, he took Jeremy along to give me a break. Only to have the other 2 home all day. Bummer- I needed my little packrat out of the house today so I could pack up her bedroom without interference.
