We started moving in the addition yesterday. We are something like half up, half down now. Still lots of boxes to unpack. The basement is utter chaos. We're asking for a week or 2 to get settled before emptying the bedrooms for the remodeling phase.
Our spacious, well-lit Kitchen! What can I say? It's everything I've dreamed of for 17 years.

Since we all easily fit around the bar for mealtime, we plan to use the dining room as a living room until the remodeling is finished. (The living room is set up like a work shop for cutting trim right now so we are letting the LR carpet go until the very last.)
Lockers, inside the back door. Right now somewhat of a catch-all, but planned one per person for coats, shoes, backpacks, etc.
This is my blue-blue Laundry. Too blue for most people's taste, but we like it. Lends itself to my lighthouse collection. We're working on revamping prefab cabinets along the back wall into a laundry-folding station. It will get one laundry basket per person. Once the counter top is maneuvered into place we can bring the washer & dryer up from the basement.

Our lovely purple Master Bedroom. The Queen size bed, pillow-top mattress, extra pillows and down comforter make it seem like an upscale motel. :)

We have a nice, large cabinet with a double laundry basket pull-out (left) and tub alcove with a Spanish arch that turned out quite well (right). The alcove at the head of the tub gets shelves installed yet and I would like shutters for the window.
FAQ: No, it's not a jacuzzi. I hate cleaning those things so I opted for a 'soaker' only.

WOW! This looks like so much fun! You did a beautiful job and I love the color of your laundry room!! Way to stick with your own colors and not the "correct" ones. :) After all, you're the one it's for! I wish I was close enough to come over and take a real peek...
