Phase II

We are all prepared to enter Phase II. Remodeling the bedrooms. Last week we worked at emptying all 3 rooms -quite a feat. This is Arianna's temporary bedroom set up in a corner of the living room. I don't have a picture of the boys arrangement in the basement because it's impossible to get nice pictures down there.

We worked late Saturday night to finish, only to have the project stalled until Wednesday. We seem to have hired contractors who consider a schedule to be a suggestion, not a commitment.
We are getting extremely tired of the clutter (depressing), and the dirt (embarrassing), and the busy-ness (tiring). We are "hitting a wall" here because it feels like we are starting all over again. I decided on Saturday that I am not eliminating any dirt when I clean; I'm merely stirring it up and rearranging it. The snow means continual puddles to mop up. Right now having a clean, organized house feels an eternity away. I have to draw strength from the philosophy parroted to me repeatedly when I was growing up "You'll appreciate it more because you had to wait/work for it!"

Sorry about the delay...and the dirt...and the disorganization. But thank you for blessing me by taking my turn to day and by inspiring me on another "bad mother" day! I had forgotten that story. :)
