No new dirt

"What's happening on your house?" is a question we hear frequently. "Nothing right now" is the answer.

Last week the garage roof was re-shingled... the drain pipes were put in place around the foundation, covered with stones, and the back-filling begun. The patio door was delivered but turned out to be the wrong thing.
I don't think there are any plans to work on the house this week. The specialty windows on order & the correct patio door need to be installed before walls can be torn out. (Otherwise our home would be exposed to the outdoors.) Our contractor is wanting to have everything lined up perfectly so that once the kitchen is dismantled, the work can roll along rapidly until we're in our new kitchen. The kitchen is scheduled to be installed beginning Nov. 3. 8 weeks away!
