Can you picture it?

Now that we've correctly diagnosed the problem as the modem (it got knocked out in that storm we had Aug 14) & not the computer, we're back online at home and I can add pictures again.

Very little is happening this week. 2 days this week Simon was here bagging insulation out of the attic above the kitchen & living room. It's being bagged so we can put it back after the walls are removed & the addition is tied into the existing house. It makes quite a mess if you accidentally forget to close the windows while he's working! And when it sticks to wet shoes and gets tracked inside.

This is taken standing in the Master Bedroom, facing east. The window to the left is the kitchen window that formerly overlooked our driveway; that wall will be moved back 1 foot. The area to the left is walk-in closet and the doorway straight ahead is Master Bath.
Beyond that you can see hallway, then Laundry (R) and Office (L).
Since this picture was taken the windows were put in.

This is taken standing in the Kitchen. This is where the patio used to be, on the back of the house. The 2 windows are to the existing kitchen. That wall will be removed; 1/2 of the existing kitchen will be added to the Dining Room and the other 1/2 to the Living Room. The room to the left is Office. The area toward the center of the picture will be walk-in Pantry.
I'll add more pictures when there's something new to show.

School started yesterday for Josh & Arianna. She survived the attention for having new glasses. Jeremy started homeschool today.
Originally we said we wanted to be through the worst of it by the time school starts, but the messiest, most disruptive part hasn't even been started yet. The living room is empty, but the kitchen is intact this week yet.

Welcome back to the cyber world. This at least satisfies my curiosity for the moment. We'll be out to see it in person one of these days.

This looks exciting. Sometimes I'm sad though that you are not at SMBI! =)

They will just have to ask again, I guess. I'm not sure that R would commit to going next year though, because by then we might feel snowed under with debt. (It's been so good to be debt-free!) That was one thing we've thought of in the past- once we start we'll be tied down financially and not able to go anywhere [for a time] if we get a call. However, after years & years of no call, I decided that must not be part of God's plan for us and we can jump off the deep end into this project. Murphy's law?
