The focus this week is shingles. Our new roof looks nice! We went with Estate Gray and we're real happy with the look. We'll also be re-shingling the garage while we're at it.
Arianna is not a happy camper, but she is joining the ranks of spectacle-wearers. Being a bookworm, it's rather inevitable, I guess. She has been hiding how poor her vision is. I intended to get her eyes checked early in the summer so everyone gets used to seeing her in glasses and facing her classmates is less traumatic. But while we were distracted with remodeling plans, the summer slipped away - and here she will be heading back to school with brand new glasses.

Whatever happened to that "horrible" pair of blue glasses? If you still have them somewhere, maybe you could dig them out and save money on frames. :-)
If you don't have your blue glasses, I still have mine--I think.
