Wedding Muse

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Since I am too tired to write a 1000 words about the weekend, here is a picture.

The wedding was well done,
the reception was remarkably beautiful,
the couple is cute
and we're relieved to have the work behind us.

R was an usher, J filled in last minute as a bridal server and I was the official baker of cheesecakes for the bridal party & family. We also painted the centerpieces for the guest tables. I always count it an honor to take part in preparations, so while we are tired, we were happy to help. For those of you following my sewing progress, I successfully avoided hemming at rehearsal. A's dress was completed Thursday and mine was finished Friday afternoon around 3.
While the couple honeymoons in Mexico, we will try to regain equilibrium and I have 10 days to complete the cookbook (see prior wedding post).

This wedding made me nostalgic since the last time one of the Miller boys got married it was my handsome groom 17 years ago. At that time M was a shy little guy squirming under the ministrations of his 5 motherly sisters trying to turn him out in style. It has been a pleasure to watch him grow & mature into a capable young man (with sisters still trying to turn him out in style.) :)
