Slow News Days

No posts lately because not much is happening and I'm still tired. Still not sleeping at night. Prescription pills acquired. Amazing how they make me drift off so naturally and no hang-over the next morning. Guess I just have to take them nightly for a time??
Living Room carpet still has not arrived. Getting tired of walking on vinyl remnants in an attempt to preserve the padding which is already tacked in place.
Childrens' boxes in storage have been sifted through and a portion of the items allowed back into their rooms. Currently working on moving items from the pantry in the basement to my lovely new walk-in pantry just off the kitchen.
We had a wall built in the basement for support, as well as cosmetic purposes, this week. R& I went on a "date" to Lowes (can't remember what it is like to go on a date that doesn't involve Lowes or Home Depot!) for closet shelving & rods.
We took time off to go to the Truck Show in Louisville last Friday & Saturday. Tiring days of walking, but we enjoyed time spent with "daddy". Not so fun was waiting over 1.5 hours for supper at a steakhouse, forgoing all time to chill in the motel's pool. Our Mr. Extreme HomeBody stayed home and proved himself capable of getting up and ready for school on his own.
I took a day off this week to help paint at a friends' house/remodeling project. Good perspective to leave my mess and work on someone else's for awhile. Plan to provide moving truck services for their furniture tomorrow after a fund-raiser breakfast for the school.
