When we arrived, they had just run out of teeshirts; they brought 300. So you know there were a lot of kids there- some from 2 hours away. Fortunately we got paired with 2 city kids who actually knew what they were doing. Having competed in a club, they taught the boys with me a few things. Also this year they had an archery "expert" at each station who gave the boys tips about their form. And gathered the arrows while we moved on to the next target. Previously the groups spent as much time retrieving arrows as they did shooting. None of them won any of the prizes. They gave away a number of bows this year that all were coveting! A warm, but enjoyable day.

Last evening we had a meeting with our contractor, Lonnie. Our project did get moved back 2 weeks to start mid-July. That places us in the worst of it right about the time school starts, which I didn't really want. We also got our estimate, finally.
It's higher than we'd like but not higher than we expected. This week demolition starts on the delapidated patio on the back of our house. Also, he wants to put in stakes for the excavation. One step closer!

That was two years ago that we went to that the last time?????? Wow!
For the record, Josh is turning into more of a hunter than I am. Probably because he has more time for it though. He certainly had more beginner's luck than I ever had. :-)
